Summer 2026, you officially ended three days ago, and you were fine. The places and people I spent it with were the whole point. ✨ by @deadlioness

Another year older, and apparently I feel exactly the same amount of chaotic as last year, just with better boundaries and wisdom about it.
Thank you to everyone who commented, texted, sent a birthday meme, called, hugged, or liked a 10 year old photo out of sheer birthday obligation, I saw it all, I felt it all, laughed at most of it, and I felt very loved. It’s that specific way where you realize how many good people ended up in your life, and for that alone, I am a rich individual.
That’s really what a birthday is, right? Underneath all the cake and chaos, there’s a little checkpoint, and mine says: good people, good support, a life that’s actually mine and actually good. I can’t wait for what else is coming my way. Love you all, truly, thank you for all the birthday love! by @deadlioness

Congratulations to Kim and Johan on a Viking/metal wedding that will absolutely go down in the sagas, officiated by none other than our own metal U.S. State Senator, Danica A. Roem!

Absolutely loved seeing so many friends from near and far in one place, radiating our own chaotic good energy. Missed so many of these faces and loved every hug and catch-up. It was the reunion tour we definitely asked for.

And @kyllacustomrockwear , my eyes were not dry when you walked down that aisle. You were glowing, gorgeous, excited, emotional, truly happy!! I loved seeing you like that, my friend. You deserve only the best!

I’m beyond thrilled for you and Johan. May the horns forever be raised for both of you! by @deadlioness

I love mushrooms so much and they are why I slow down on my walks. They don’t announce themselves like other plants or flowers do; you have to be paying attention to the quiet, damp, rotting parts of the world, because that’s exactly where they choose to appear.

They fascinate me, and that’s what I love about them. So patient underground for who knows how long, then suddenly they are here: small, strange, perfect, changing by the hour and gone in a few days. They are like a secret the forest decided to share only with those who are intentional enough to be looking down. by @deadlioness

A private party on the Colts’ field, a visit to the NCAA Hall of Fame and headquarters, watching the inspiring Van Jones from the third row, and even meeting Canadian astronaut Dr. Shawna Pandya. I ate well, drank great wine, and spent time with the finest humans. Indianapolis, you’ve been good to me, Thank you ✨ #indianapolis #nfl #ncaa by @deadlioness

July, that’s a wrap. ✨ by @deadlioness

Finishing 10 days in upstate NY and PA where it always feels like my second home. I love this area of Pennsylvania so much 🙌 Hiked, did morning yoga, cooked healthy meals, drank good wine, went to a museum, pool time, surrounded by nature and mountains, and most importantly: spent time with the people I love and completely disconnected from the daily chaos. My cup is full. 🩷✨ by @deadlioness

Five years ago I said yes to this face, and life has been better in every way ever since. Everyone who meets Sperry is instantly in love with this intelligent, playful, gentle, friendly, well-behaved doggie but I am his forever biggest fan for life. Happy gotcha day, Sperr-Bear, you’re perfect! ❤️ by @deadlioness

Studies show moments like this make you live longer; citing myself. ✨ by @deadlioness

Life hack: Surround yourself with incredible humans, repeat. by @deadlioness

Wrapping up a week well spent in Missouri, traveling all over the state through small, picturesque towns, connecting with our incredible members, and getting embedded in local communities. Oh, and two winery visits may have snuck onto the itinerary (home to the first-ever US AVA- I’ve always wanted to, and I had to). Missouri wine is actually well made and home to some of the oldest wineries in the US.
This is one of my favorite parts of the job — trading the desk in DC for the road, discovering corners of the country that don’t make the highlight reel but absolutely should, and meeting people who make the work feel meaningful. Missouri surprised me at every turn. Beautiful state, even more beautiful people. by @deadlioness
