Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio is gearing up for what could become the biggest Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Indian stock market history, with Jio Platforms reportedly targeting a valuation of up to ₹11 lakh crore. The public issue is expected to open for subscription on October 21, marking a major milestone for India’s telecom and digital economy. According to reports, the company plans to raise approximately ₹30,000 crore through the IPO, potentially surpassing all previous public offerings in India. Anchor investors are expected to begin bidding on October 19, followed by public subscription from October 21 to 23. The shares could make their stock market debut on October 28. While earlier estimates placed Jio’s valuation at around ₹11 lakh crore, more recent reports from Reuters indicate that the company is targeting approximately ₹10.3 lakh crore, or $106 billion. The reported share price range stands at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119, although final details remain subject to confirmation. If successful, Jio’s offering would surpass Hyundai Motor India’s ₹27,870 crore IPO in 2024 and the National Stock Exchange’s approximately ₹22,600 crore offering in September 2026, setting a new fundraising record. Jio Platforms, led by Akash Ambani, has grown into one of India’s largest digital ecosystems, offering mobile connectivity, broadband, cloud services, entertainment and emerging AI solutions. Its telecom business served more than 52 crore customers as of March 2026. Interestingly, global technology giants Meta and Google are already major investors in Jio Platforms, holding approximately 9.98% and 7.73% stakes respectively, while Reliance Industries retains majority ownership. Unlike many public offerings where existing investors sell their shares, Jio’s proposed IPO is expected to consist entirely of newly issued shares. A significant portion of the proceeds, up to ₹27,500 crore, is earmarked for reducing debt at Reliance Jio Infocomm.

5 years as a Division I track & field athlete to now being 2 1/2 years into working in corporate finance, and somewhere along the way I convinced myself that I needed to still be a college athlete to train and compete like one. After college, I got comfortable going through the motions in the gym, stopped incorporating as much explosive training, and honestly wasn’t challenging myself the way I used to. I think a part of me felt like that chapter of my life was over. Being able to compete at @apexathlete.official this past weekend was such a fun reminder of how much I love pushing myself, being competitive, and surrounding myself with people who have that same drive. It reminded me that even with a full-time career, there’s still room to chase goals, compete, and challenge myself in new ways. Just because your college athletic career ends doesn’t mean you stop being an athlete!!! 🤍 Huge thank you to @drinkdottir for bringing together such an amazing group of strong, inspiring women!
