FSU Military Science

On Friday September 25th, we celebrated the retirement of Mr. Bob Lovins after 50 years of service to the United States Army and 30 years of service to Florida State University Army ROTC.
For three decades, Bob served as a recruiter, mentor, advisor, and trusted source of institutional knowledge for the Seminole Battalion. His efforts directly contributed to the commissioning of more than 750 Army officers, while his mentorship and guidance impacted thousands more.
Bob leaves behind a remarkable legacy—and an important responsibility for those of us who follow him: sustain the standard he established and continue investing in the next generation of leaders.
Thank you, Bob, for a lifetime of selfless service and for everything you have done for our cadets, our Army, and Florida State University.
