To our Dad,

You’ve taught us what humility, grace, hard work, sacrifice, and impact truly look like. More than anything, you’ve been the example of what it means to never give up.

You were denied four times before finally being onboarded as a Trainee Customs Officer, but you didn’t let those “no’s” define you. Nothing stopped you then, and nothing has stopped you since. Every obstacle that has come your way has only been another reason to keep pushing forward.

While many may know you as Customs Officer Roddy or Coach, we know you as our daddy — the goofy, supportive, loving, and dependable man who has always been in our corner.

There will never be enough words to express how much we appreciate you, but today, we simply want to say thank you. Thank you for being the leader, protector, encourager, and role model we could ask for as we navigate our own careers and pathways.

Your journey has reminded us that success isn’t always about how quickly you get there, but about having the courage and determination to keep going when the road gets difficult. We hope you know how much your perseverance has inspired us, even in ways you may never realize.
