“Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

To our Dad,

You’ve taught us what humility, grace, hard work, sacrifice, and impact truly look like. More than anything, you’ve been the example of what it means to never give up.

You were denied four times before finally being onboarded as a Trainee Customs Officer, but you didn’t let those “no’s” define you. Nothing stopped you then, and nothing has stopped you since. Every obstacle that has come your way has only been another reason to keep pushing forward.

While many may know you as Customs Officer Roddy or Coach, we know you as our daddy — the goofy, supportive, loving, and dependable man who has always been in our corner.

There will never be enough words to express how much we appreciate you, but today, we simply want to say thank you. Thank you for being the leader, protector, encourager, and role model we could ask for as we navigate our own careers and pathways.

Your journey has reminded us that success isn’t always about how quickly you get there, but about having the courage and determination to keep going when the road gets difficult. We hope you know how much your perseverance has inspired us, even in ways you may never realize.

Congratulations on your promotion to Assistant Collector of Customs!

We love you, and we are so incredibly proud of you.

Dear Gombey Warriors,

You’ve taken me to places I once only dreamed of, places many never get the chance to see. From my very first international duty trip at 12 years old, traveling to Puerto Rico with the U17s as a young girl simply grateful to be a part of it all, to my last, returning to Bermuda on home soil to finish it out. 11 years, representing my country is something I don’t take lightly. It has been an absolute blessing to represent every age group, from the U15s to the SWNT. All Glory to God.

To my Family, thank you for your sacrifices, your unconditional love, and for being my foundation through it all. You all were my backbone, and I am forever in debt to you. If anyone knows how hard this decision was, it’s you. Thank you for supporting me through it all. I can’t thank you enough.

To my Teammates, thank you for the sisterhood I never knew I needed. The wins, the losses, the battles, the tears, the laughs, the memories .. All of it. It’s something I’ll hold on to forever. Though this was never the way I wanted to go out, I wouldn’t have wanted to go out standing beside any other group of ladies! I love you all.

Coach Keta, thank you for paving the way and setting the example you’ve set. You’re such an inspiration. Thank you for believing in me when not only I didn’t believe in myself, but nobody else did either. What you’ve created and done for this association is a testament to you and motivates me to follow in your footsteps and carry forward the legacy you’ve built, when the time comes.

To all my coaches, thank you.
To all my teammates, thank you.
To all the physios and staff, thank you.

To those who counted me out, thank you. You gave me motivation, you gave me something to prove, and you helped build the resilience I carry today. What I’ve been through wasn’t easy, and not many people would’ve been able to endure it, but I did, and that’s what makes my journey that much sweeter.

A journey only God could have written.
It’s not the end of the story. One chapter closes, while another awaits.

Dear College Soccer,
That little girl’s dream that was once a whisper turned into reality ten years later.
A dream that sometimes turned the sweetest nights into restless ones.
A dream that, at times, was a nightmare — yet became a fairytale.
A dream that was a test, but turned into one of my greatest testimonies.

Three coaches, two schools, but one circle that became full.
And within that circle, I found some of my closest friends — those who turned teammates into family, and moments into memories that will never fade.

Simply… Thank you, God.
