Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬
@thetrailblazers.ng organized the Independence Run, with two categories: 21km and 66km. I registered for the 66km 😅
I had never attempted a marathon before, my highest distance was a half marathon, so this was a BIG deal for me. 😂
The run officially started at 12 am on October 1st. I kept telling myself and my pacer, “I don’t think we can complete this run before 10 am, I don’t even think we can run till 10 am because after a full marathon, we probably won’t be able to move anymore.” 😭😂
But guess what? WE DID IT!!! 😭🔥
We were tired, we were in pain but we kept going because we had a mission and we ain’t losers! 😂💪🏽
I almost cried during the run, but I didn’t want people giving me pity attention. I wanted to finish like the big girl that I am, and guess what? I DID! 🥹
Currently, I am sick. 😫😂 I’m battling swollen legs, hips and back pain(I'm literally having muscle pull in my upper back) and migraine. 😭
I’m literally in tears right now, tears of both pain and joy. 😢🥹
Would I do this again? HELL YEAH!!! 😂🔥
Next year, I’ll be attempting the 67km Independence Run, Insha Allah. 🙏🏽
Thank you
@coastlinestriders for making me an amazing runner, and thank you @thetrailblazers.ng for making me an ULTRAMARATHONER! 🤭🔥
66KM DONE! ✅️
I still can’t believe I actually did this. 😭🤗
66KM FINISHER MEDAL 💪😌
I'm too emotional 😅
