Ms. Bea

the time has come — “scream queen” is out now 💋

available on bandcamp, and (most) streaming services.

when every day feels a bit like a psychological slasher movie, you are on the verge of letting out a blood curdling shriek. we are encouraged to flatten our personalities into the shape of a palatable online persona(s); it has never been more important to be a freak, and to be yourself.

but what is left when we die? our digital foot print? can romance exist in a digital space? can intelligent thoughts survive? are we destined for a restless eternity chasing the latest trend? online, the human spirit dwindles. It is a vicious cycle — but can you walk away? or will you continue to “Walk the line”?

i want to thank @devilsbedhead for creating art that perfectly captures the frenetic energy of this release, i also thank you for your endless support. i don’t know if ill ever forget you pulling tarot cards to help me identify what was missing on this release. you are foundational in my life.

i want to thank @peretsky for guidance and thoughtfulness. whether it be in our classes or group critiques you challenged me to go deeper and really nail the execution. working with you has changed my life for the better and has provided me with endless growth.

@sparklemotion_bk thank you so much for everything you have done to support me and for helping to craft a digital world where this exist works through video (more to come on that later). you are one of my longest co-conspirators and i thank my lucky stars 12 years later we are still finding ways to work together.

thank you so much @2999rec for the faith and carte blanche to really perfect this release. your futurism and enthusiasm helped shape this release — your support of the vision and project has meant the world to me. today is a day for us to both celebrate. 🥂

and finally, thank you for listening. today, i hand “scream queen” to you, to listen to, make meaning of, and to dance to 🪩 the future is ours
