A logo is only one piece of a brand identity.
Strong brands are built through a visual system — one that stays recognizable whether you’re looking at a website, packaging, campaign, product or a single image.
Start with the fundamentals:
01 — Typography
Choose typefaces with distinct roles. Headlines create personality. Supporting type creates clarity.
02 — Color
Build a focused palette instead of choosing colors randomly for every application. Repetition creates association.
03 — Logo & wordmark
Your mark should work at different sizes and across different environments — but it doesn’t need to carry the entire identity.
04 — Art direction
Photography, composition, lighting, texture and image treatment determine how the brand feels.
05 — Consistency
Recognition comes from repeating these decisions long enough for people to associate them with you.
The goal isn’t to put your logo everywhere.
The goal is to become recognizable before people even see it.
Save this when building your next identity.
