Happy Friday, babes! And happy Halloween weekend 🧡🎃 Are you or your kiddos/pets dressing up this year?? Another 2 for 1 today w my two most recent reads 🥰

I am officially a @catherinecowlesauthor fan and I can’t WAIT for book 3 in the Starlight Grove series next month!

I also finally continued the Kings of Sin series. I have to admit, the MMC in this one wasn’t my favorite! I’m torn—should I keep going w the series??

Graphics are from CC’s social media and @twins.reading.books!!

This Halloween we’re making soup inside a pumpkin while dressed as a family of clowns. 🤡

Recipe
A large pumpkin about 10inch in diameter and height
3 medium carrots
3 stalks of celery
2 cobs of corn
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp minced ginger
2 bone in skin on chicken thighs and 3 full chicken wings roasted at 400f for 30 minutes
4 cups chicken broth
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper to taste

Brush the outside of the pumpkin with olive oil and bake for 2.5-3 hours at 400F.

For a smoother blended soup, you can remove the chicken and corn from the soup and add in 1/4 cup of heavy cream, then using a spoon you can scrape some of the pumpkin flesh into the soup and blend with an immersion blender until smooth.

If we ever make this again, I would roast the celery and carrots together with the chicken to soften them up more so they blend more smoothly at the end. I would also add in half an onion, small diced and a tablespoon of honey at the end to bring out the pumpkin flavor more.
