Toronto’s hardest reservation right now… and I can see why. 👀
Chef Marvin Palomo’s 30-seat Queen West restaurant, Liliana, is a deeply personal one. He named it after the Italian chef who mentored him early in his career and taught him that hospitality goes far beyond what’s on the plate.
His cooking brings together his experiences in Italy and Hong Kong, with Italian classics taking some seriously unexpected turns.
We tried the beef carpaccio, pappardelle, aglio e olio with chili crisp & Puglia burrata, the stuffed chicken wings with mushroom conserva, carnaroli rice & black truffle, and finished with the millefoglie with black sesame & miso caramel.
Every dish had something unexpected going on, and this was one of those meals where we kept looking at each other like… okay, this is REALLY good. 😂
Liliana is definitely one to know in Toronto.

There’s a reason why Liliana Restaurant has a long reservation list. Chef Marvin is seriously working some magic in this kitchen. The flavours, the creativity, the way everything comes together… absolutely unreal. 🫡🫡
