Election results showed a wave of blue pivots toward Democrats with 20, 30, 40 percentage point swings compared to two years ago. It suggests a broad, nationwide statement of frustration with the state of the country and the presidency of Donald Trump, who asked voters to treat this midterm as if he was on the ballot.
