La Mercè 2026 will take place 23–27 September 2026 across Barcelona. It is the city’s Festa Major and includes hundreds of free activities, concerts, street arts and Catalan traditions.

🎶 Main programme

🎵 Música Mercè / BAM
Free concerts take place at several venues around the city, including Avinguda Maria Cristina, Parc de la Ciutadella and other outdoor stages. For example, Leire Martínez performs at Maria Cristina at 01:15 on Saturday night, while Sorvina performs at Parc de la Ciutadella at 22:30 on Saturday.

🎭 Mercè Arts de Carrer
Street theatre, circus, dance, installations and performances in parks and public spaces.

The traditional Piromusical is part of the closing celebrations, combining fireworks, music and a large audiovisual show.

A major feature of La Mercè 2026 is Shanghai as the Guest City. Barcelona and Shanghai are celebrating 25 years of their sister-city relationship, with more than 100 artists from Shanghai and Barcelona’s Chinese community participating in the festival.
