The difference between DJing in the 90s on vinyl versus DJing today on CJ’s…

I was watching the film ‘Groove’ the other day and I think it’s a pretty accurate representation of what some clubs and raves were like in the 90s. I noticed that the drama on the dance floor and the most exciting moment of each set came when the DJ was mixing one track into another track, not the drop of an individual record itself.

Compare that to today where the DJs are so skilled and C DJs allow the mixes to be done so seamlessly that the dance floor honestly might not even know that they’re happening couple that with the fact that DJs today also have to be amazing producers, and the most dramatic moments in the mix actually come during the buildup and drop of the individual tracks in the mix.

I don’t know if I’m thinking too much about this, but I would just love to hear what everyone else has to say in the comments… LETS GO!

Idk, enjoy.
