Dhareechay” is the plural of dareecha—meaning small windows, window openings, or apertures. Poetically, it suggests windows into the heart, memory, longing, or a new emotional world. 🪟 🕊️

Dhareechay are the many small windows through which the heart dares to look out, and to let longing look back. Once opened, they let in the light of a love story that is secret, sacred, and tender, where two souls meet in quiet reverence.

I started making this song back in 2019, It grew with time, and finally came out in this beautiful form, this is my first attempt to write something in Punjabi, @essabarlas really helped me writing and composing through out the process and the angelic @hooriya.wav agreed to sing the second part of Dareechay, I can't believe this is her first song, growing slowly like a whisper. It carries the purity of love, not loud or demanding, but hones, carrying the fragile light between two lives.
