2 years ago today, Vitesse X and Pearly Drops released “Get In Girls”.

We always lose it a little when two of our favourite artists decide to collaborate. Vitesse X and Pearly Drops wrote and produced the track together, with Pearly Drops’ Juuso Malin also mixing it. Sandra Tervonen and Juuso later said the collaboration became something none of them probably would have made independently, which feels like the whole point of a good collab I guess.

The song plays like a psychedelic girls’ night out through some dystopian wasteland, full of night drives, disappearing horizons, mirrors and roads leading somewhere “where the flowers never bloom.”

The Chris Burden-directed video takes us into full tech-noir territory, with Vitesse X basically being summoned into cyberspace by Pearly Drops before the night begins.

“Get In Girls” arrived through Vitesse X and Chris Burden’s Music Website label, and Pearly Drops would go on to work with the label themselves just after that.

Two years later, we’re still very much getting in, girls.
