Kranj Foto Fest

𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐅𝐅, an 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘒𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘫 𝘍𝘰𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘦𝘴𝘵, at @pungert until 27.9. It presents the emerging work of the festival’s crew, offering a glimpse into their developing photographic projects, personal perspectives and experimental voices.

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐳𝐧𝐢𝐤– 𝘛𝘰 𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘦 depicts the work and everyday tasks of grandparents who, despite the helplessness of illness and failure associated with declining abilities, continue their habits into old age. It explores motivation, perseverance, and the acceptance that if we give up, we come to terms with our own demise. @breznikmark

𝐀𝐣𝐝𝐚 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 – 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 is a design project that explores how design shapes the interpretation of stories in photobooks. A series of the author's nature photographs intertwines with poetry by Nika Prusnik. The materiality of the book and the design of its content together create different interpretations of the same work across different book formats. @ajda.justin

𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐬 – 𝘜𝘴𝘦𝘥-𝘜𝘱 unfolds as a visual study of wear and tear, as a subtle analysis of the traces imprinted on an everyday object. We use tools as we use people—as long as they serve us. When they fail, we replace them. The project is not about objects, but about us. @romanusko

𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚 – 𝘐 𝘎𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 explores my relationship with my emotionally absent father and my attempt, after his death, to create a dialogue that never existed. My personal story expands into a reflection on the emotional distance as an inherited form of relationship and how it continues to shape memory and our understanding of closeness. @solomalena

𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐣𝐚 𝐙𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢č – 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘥𝘺 is a photographic series based on a deliberate act of objectification. Through photography, I explore how the gaze directed at the naked human figure is destabilized when the nude shifts from a realistic representation toward an objectified form. @patricijazupanic
