Some people announce. Others execute. EXECUTION is worshipped.

I love sports, because sports are HONEST. The reps show. Ain’t NO filter for work ethic. 💪

I don’t need perfect conditions, applause, supervision or someone cheering from the sidelines. When I’m dialled and LOCKED IN? My faith-walk is a lot like how I play sports. I pull up. I show up. I show out. Zero excuses. Zero b*tching. Zero shortcuts. Just crazy mental fortitude, humility and relentless effort.

Sports built this into me. Decades of coaching, real-time feedback, hard critique, missed shots and honest evaluation taught me how to study both mine and my opponent’s weaknesses, sharpen my skills and adjust my game (in ALL things). That same athlete mentality follows me straight into my spiritual life, how I train, work, and how I run a boardroom full of C-suite.

2 Timothy 1:7 —

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of POWER and of love and of a sound mind.”

What does this mean? It means you stand ten toes down on business.

I don’t cheat my meal prep.
I don’t cheat my sets.
I don’t cheat my reps.
And I damn sure don’t compromise my integrity when nobody’s watching. Cheating doesn’t build winners — it buries them.

Because that’s where character is exposed. If your standards disappear the moment accountability leaves the room, you never had standards—you had supervision.

Power. Love. A sound mind.
That means courage under pressure, discipline without applause and integrity without witnesses. Often times I need to remind myself I perform for an audience of ONE.

His name is JESUS.

Excellence is built through ruthless iteration and relentless refinement. Don’t say what you’re going to do. Show what you’ve repeatedly done.

Ruthless devotion means your goals don’t depend on your mood. You show up tired, overlooked, uncomfortable, and unmotivated—because commitment isn’t proven when it’s convenient. No excuses. No negotiating.

Either increase your discipline OR reduce your desire. Winners win. Losers lose. Make less announcements and more moves.
