A "startling graph shows just how much Meta are rigging their networks for Flávio Bolsonaro over Lula... In final hours before the election, Bolsonaro rises improbably, Lula actually drops," reported BRASILWIRE, amid US interference in the Brazilian elections and Meta's suppression of incumbent President Lula's social media accounts, which are receiving far less engagement despite having a bigger following that US-backed right-wing candidate Bolsonaro. ￭ An employee at Meta Brazil told Panamerican Dispatch that "Right in the middle of Brazil’s election season, a large number of [human moderators] were laid off and replaced almost immediately by AI systems. That means decisions are now coming from a single automated command, possibly issued from the US, designed to boost certain content while burying the rest.” #VPol
@porsche has finally unveiled what we’ve all been waiting for: the new Mission S. And it’s more important than you think it is. Porsche presents the new Mission S, a vision model that offers the first look at its next design era and a brand-new mid-engined super sports car platform. What makes it different? In short, CEO Michael Leiters made clear it isn’t destined to be a one-off hypercar, but a permanent, versatile model line slotted above the 911. Things start in the middle: the centrally mounted engine shapes everything, enabling the signature flyline while the design pulls from Porsche’s back catalog. There are “torpedo” fenders and round headlights from the 911, a flat front and car-in-car rear from the 911 GT1, a 959-inspired roofline, 917-style rear fan cooling and lightweight wheels referencing the classic 928’s dial design. A fully integrated active rear wing rounds out the performance-minded details. Even the bucket seats look like they could have been from the 996. Inside, a five-tube cluster shifts by drive mode, and a retractable MagSafe smartphone mount is all you get for infotainment – a strategy to avoid confusion that this is anything but a sports car. Porsche neglected to share performance figures or even powertrain choice, so we’ll have to stay tuned for more details. But we’d say that the Mission S is ‘mission accomplished.’
Germany is known for its historic architecture, charming old towns, and beautifully preserved buildings that reflect centuries of European history. From medieval houses and Gothic churches to grand residential buildings with distinctive facades, the country's architecture showcases a fascinating mix of traditional craftsmanship and different architectural styles. Many older buildings feature steep roofs, tall windows, stone exteriors, and intricate details that make them stand out even in modern cities. Across Germany, historic architecture remains an important part of the urban landscape, with many structures preserved alongside contemporary developments. Cities such as Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg each have their own architectural character, shaped by different historical periods and cultural influences. Sometimes, however, a building's unusual design can make it look surprisingly different from what you'd expect.
