Friday reminded me of something I think we sometimes underestimate.

There are people you have never met before who may eventually play an important part in your life or business.

A future partner.
A customer.
An investor.
Someone who introduces you to someone else.
Someone who gives you an idea you carry for years.

Right now, they’re simply strangers.

And sometimes all that’s missing is the room that brings you together.

That’s what I watched happen around The Long Table on Friday. People arrived from different worlds, sat together, talked, ate, disagreed, exchanged ideas and left knowing people they didn’t know a few hours earlier.

On Sunday, we do it again.
