Democrats have officially won control of both the House and Senate‼️

According to the Associated Press, Democrats secured enough seats in the 2026 midterms to take majorities in both chambers of Congress. Reuters also confirmed the sweep after Democrats flipped several Republican-held seats across the country.

The results mark the first midterm election since 2006 where control of both the House and Senate changed parties. Democrats will officially take control when the new Congress is seated in January 2027.
