Now or then?
. . .
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were teammates at Red Bull Racing from 2009 to 2013, forming one of Formula 1’s most competitive partnerships. Their relationship was shaped by both cooperation and intense rivalry, as they were fighting for victories and championships in the same team. Vettel was younger and emerged as Red Bull’s leading championship contender, while Webber was an experienced driver who also had ambitions of winning races and the title.
Their relationship became particularly tense at times, especially after incidents such as the 2010 Turkish Grand Prix and the 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix, where Vettel ignored a team instruction and overtook Webber. Despite their disagreements, there was mutual respect between them as highly competitive drivers. Their time as teammates is remembered as a period when two strong personalities were competing at the front of Formula 1 while also contributing to Red Bull’s dominance during the early 2010s.
