Were you not entertained…. Yesterday was what high level disc golf is all about. Riding the emotions both mentally and physically that Winthrop provides never gets old and you have to respect the course at every level. That’s what makes this course so timeless and perfect to compete for a major title every year. I am sickened to have played more than good enough to win this week and not get the result I had in mind. That’s part of the game and playing at the highest level sometimes you play better than the result reflects and that’s ok. Only one champion this week and @cheimborg earned it 🫡. If you know me you know I’ll be back and that’s what matters to me most. Thanks to my brother for the much needed brotherly love out there all week @zack.wysocki . As always the fans and the energy the final day was next level and I’m thankful to @usdgc and the staff for going above and beyond every year. I already can’t wait for next year. • • • #sockibomb #discgolf #discraft #usdgc #winthrop

Singer and songwriter Melanie Fiona is enjoying a slower pace of life in Paris, and the experience has her questioning why people in North America are constantly in a rush. The Grammy-winning artist took to Threads to share how spending just a few days in the French capital has positively impacted her mental and emotional well-being. “I’ve been in Paris for a few days now, and my nervous system is already more regulated. People here walk slowly. They take their time drinking coffee or eating with friends. Nothing is HIGH DEMAND. It’s so lovely.” Fiona explained that the relaxed atmosphere made her recognize just how much stress has become normalized back home. “It reminded me how disregulated we are in North AMERICA, and how we exist in a constant pressure cooker of stress. We expect everything fast and in a hurry and deem it disrespectful if it’s not.” Her observations highlight the differences she has noticed between everyday life in Paris and the fast-paced culture often associated with North America. From rushing through meals to expecting immediate service, Fiona’s reflections raise questions about whether convenience and productivity have come at the expense of personal peace. Is North America’s fast-paced lifestyle putting unnecessary stress on us, or is Melanie Fiona simply experiencing the magic of being on vacation?

Newly released messages from #NolanWells’ phone are raising more questions about the circumstances surrounding the 18-year-old’s mysterious dea@h. Nolan’s family has made public a nearly 300-page forensic report compiled by Garrett Discovery and verified by PEOPLE. The findings include private #Snapchat messages and conversations from 29 group chats, some of which continued after Nolan disappeared from #HornIsland on July 4. In one exchange, a person claimed Nolan was last seen around 6 p.m. walking back toward his boat with another man, writing, “he never disappeared with [redacted] when it was time to leave around like 6 he got off our boat with this other guy and thy started walking back to their boat.” Other messages suggested growing concern among the group, including “There is def some sus sh*t going on” and “Someone said [redacted] was acting weird too?” ________ The conversations also reveal how some of the people believed to be Nolan’s friends discussed handling potential police questioning. In one exchange, a person advised, “the smart move is to ask for an attorney and that doesn’t mean we’re guilty it just smart so we don’t get played by some potential bias cop.” Others urged the group not to make assumptions, writing, “Don’t speculate about sh*t yall” and “just stick to what you know happened.” Another message warned, “Bc they can try to get your a**.” ________ By July 14, conversations had shifted toward Nolan’s funeral and the growing public scrutiny surrounding those who were among the last to see him alive. One person suggested, “We need to go to Nolan’s funeral and get with all our other black friends to prove a statement for the media.” The newly released records come as Nolan’s family continues pushing for a federal investigation into his passing. A grand jury declined to bring criminal charges, claiming that his cause of de@th was consistent with drowning. However, it’s important to note that Wells’ autopsy found no water in his lungs. His loved ones remain unsatisfied with the grand jury’s decision and continue seeking answers.
