you guys, i LOVE katseye. I loved gnarly too and i think they rly ate with that one. this is meant as a critique of the producers and hybe x geffen.
i know the girls really liked the concept and i support them wanting to explore their sexuality, but i dont like how kpop is taking advantage of that desire to inflate their numbers through questionable means. they knew it was going to be controversial, and they knew that would make it blow up further.
i also know some of the girls themselves are pretty left leaning. megan and lara are queer and most of them are people of color. i dont want to erase that. but from my pov, its being used more as a corporate dei push. this is exactly why im making my socialist kpop group!! to create ethical kpop you can feel good about consuming.
i support the girls no matter what. if there are no katseye fans, im probably dead ❤️
oh also unintentional adéla glaze. adéla, if you ever see this, i love you and i think about KBG daily. it helps me push through difficult times as a content creator 🫶 i dont mean to pit the girls against each other, just using the works as objective evidence. i know all the girls are great friends ❤️
