According to the Boston Police Department, officers responded to reports of a sh%oting at about 5:09 p.m. on October 7 at 1171 Hyde Park Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Darell suffering from a g¥nshot wound. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced d+ad. Police subsequently arrested 18-year-old Christian Peebles of Boston on October 9 in connection with the k+lling. He was charged with m¥rder. In another twist, his grieving dad, who lives in Nigeria, has been denied a visa to travel to the United States for his burial later this month on November 20, 2026.
