While Christopher Luxon and National are promising more ‘reviews’, Labour will take decisive action. Here’s how we’ll do it:
-Better prices for shoppers. More competition means fairer grocery prices.
-A better deal for small grocers. All grocers will get better access to wholesale products.
-More choice. It’ll be easier for new supermarkets and independent grocers to grow.
-A better deal for producers. We’ll stop supermarkets charging suppliers unfair fees.
This is part of our wider plan to lower costs, alongside a $20 public transport fare cap, three free GP visits, making price gouging illegal and freezing fuel tax for three years.

Making them split the wholesale and retail arms will come with a cost which NEWS FLASH will be past on to the consumer, you do not have the power to tell a company what their acceptable profit margins are so therefore you will do nothing except drive prices up even more

😂 Why would Labour take up Nationals stupid idea. It just penalises a successful NZ Business, Foodstuffs made up Family owned Stores. Foodstuffs, both Brands, which are in the main cheaper than Woolworths!!

All good intentions.. but it will never happen, supermarkets are tooo powerful, the only ones to do any good out of it will be the lawyers 😉
