A majestic epic falls victim to clunky action, eye-sore CGI, and awkward AI lip-syncing in what is, unfortunately, just a Part 1 in Ramayana: Rise of a Legend. Link in bio for our review.
Soaking in a peaceful evening at Rabindra Sarobar Lake! Love how the colours turned out along the water. Captured on the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max with its Triple 200MP Camera & 4K Cine-Grade HDR Video. True to the Moment. #OPPOFindX10Series #TrueToTheMoment #Rabindrasarobarlake

Jewish activist Liz Benichou was reportedly shoved to the ground by a woman during a free speech event at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Benichou had questioned what would happen if the woman dressed the same way in Iran, where women’s freedoms are severely restricted. According to the account, the woman was arrested and allegedly screamed: “I SHOULD HAVE F****G KILLED YOU WHILE I HAD THE CHANCE!!” Social media reports describe the alleged attacker as a supporter of Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, although that connection remains unverified. A Jewish woman asks a question about women’s rights and allegedly faces violence and a death threat. Political disagreement never justifies violence or death threats. Being a South Indian, I was always romanticised by the idea of Karva Chauth, largely thanks to Bollywood movies. When I got married, I remember thinking, “This is something I would love to do too.” I love my husband, and I felt this was one beautiful way of expressing that love. And here we are, 15 years later, and I’m still keeping the fast! I’m that South Indian woman who loves dressing up traditionally, sitting amidst all the beautifully dressed ladies, embracing the rituals and participating in whatever way I can. But you know what? There’s something truly beautiful about these rituals. And I can only speak for myself here. For me, it comes straight from the heart. It’s never about believing that this is the only way to express my love for my husband. It’s simply one of the many little ways in which I choose to celebrate that love. And the beauty is that he is equally involved in the whole process. When he’s home, he’s around, constantly checking on me, asking if I’m okay, and being there for the Chand dekhna and all the little traditions that come with it. I think that’s what makes these rituals special. It’s not just about the fasting or the customs; it’s about the emotions, the togetherness and the little moments that become memories. And that’s the real beauty of it all.
