Just another day in the Kalahari. We’ve had some unusually early rain, and the landscape is already turning green. As the days get warmer, Sirga spends more time resting in the shade and becomes more active at night.

In winter, when the nights can be freezing, she finds a sheltered spot to curl up and stay warm. She saves most of her hunting and patrolling for the more comfortable daytime hours - but only after a good morning bask in the African sun, often with all four legs in the air.

Hello 👋 How are you?

It’s been a while since my last post, but I’m still alive lol.

I realised that it’s been about a year since I moved to New York, and looking back, I think one of the biggest changes has been how disconnected I’ve become from social media. I barely take my phone out to take photos anymore, and I don’t feel the same need to share or post about what I’m doing.

It’s strange, because it feels like that’s such a big part of being a content creator. But I guess I’m at a stage where I feel like I don't need to prove or document everything. And honestly, it’s been refreshing to just be present and enjoy life as it happens, and I'm grateful to be in this wonderful but weird at times city.

Living here has definitely challenged me in ways I didn’t expect, especially as an introvert who needs to manage panic attacks. There have been moments where this city felt overwhelmingly loud and way too fast-paced, and moments where I questioned whether I was really built for it.

But looking back at the past year, I realised how much I’ve changed and how many things that once felt difficult now feel a little easier. Whether it’s melting in Herald Square’s Molten Core subway station while trying not to let my anxiety get triggered, dodging mystery poop on the sidewalk, or running out of wardrobe space, I’ve somehow learned to just figure shit out as it comes.

Anyway, that’s my little “hi, I’m still here” randomness of an update.

Now the question is… do I post again tomorrow, next week, or next year?
