This is our sixth year together, and in many ways, life feels no different from before.
Spring has returned to the Southern Hemisphere. The flowers are blooming as beautifully as ever—year after year, the blossoms remain much the same. Only this year, we are waiting for a new life to arrive.
Her name is Evalina.
I often find myself thinking that our daughter will surely be beautiful.
Love, after all, is something we cannot see. When we are young, we are always searching for proof of it—in a few tender words, in a lingering glance, in the smallest gestures. But after all these years, there is no longer anything left to prove.
Now, our love has eyes and a face of its own. It has a heartbeat. It has two tiny hands that, one day, will reach out and hold ours.
Perhaps this is what happens when two people love each other for long enough: something once invisible takes shape, and leaves behind a living trace of itself in this world.
And so, in this season filled with warmth and hope, our love begins to bloom once more—welcoming a new spring of its own.
