Junior 14/15 National Rowing Championships – 1K Classic
Our Junior 14 & Junior 15 rowers travelled to Lough Rinn, Co. Leitrim, this past weekend to compete in the National 1K Classic, with crews from across the country taking part.
The highlight of the weekend was a fantastic performance from Conor Burgoyne, who was crowned National Champion in the Men’s Junior 15 Scull following an excellent race.
There were also a number of strong performances across both age groups:
🥇 J15 Scull – Conor Burgoyne – 1st
🥈 J15 Double Scull – 2nd
🥈 J14 Quad – 2nd
🥉 J15 Octuple – 3rd
🥉 J15 Quad – 3rd
🥉 J14 Octuple – 3rd
Well done to all of our athletes who competed and represented the school and club so well throughout the weekend.
A special thank you also to the team of coaches who travelled to Lough Rynn and who have given so much of their time to guide and develop this group.
Congratulations to Conor and well done to everyone involved.
