Welcoming Dance Projects by ME company member to the stage … the talented … Alys Ayumi Ogura!!!! ✨✨

Alys Ayumi Ogura (she/her/hers) is a storyteller and performance maker through her movements, voice, and quirky humor. With many roles—including dancer, choreographer, mover, and maker—her core mission is to tell her own stories and those of others.

Ogura, since 2010, has considered the Twin Cities her creative home, and she has collaborated with various artists and ensembles, including Hauser Dance, Emily Johnson/Catalyst, ASDC, KEDC, Emily Gastineau, Pam Gleason, Pramila Vasudevan, and Laurie Van Wieren. Her original work has been showcased both locally and nationally at such venues as the Walker Art Center, Red Eye Theater, The Southern Theater, Keshet Dance & Center for Arts (New Mexico), Epic Center (Michigan), and Moving Body Resources (NYC), among others.

Ogura is a Jerome Hill Artist Fellow in Dance for 2025 – 2028, and a residency artist at Rosy Simas Danse (RSD) Artist in Residency (2026). Ogura is looking forward to this fall, being a part of Composition for a Hill, a seasonal outdoor dance workshop and performance series directed by Annika Johansson.
