Haunted Starbucks feels less like a fashion label and more like a corrupted folder recovered from the internet.
Created by James Wallace, the brand treats the visual noise of being online as an archive: Counter-Strike graphics, WhatsApp logos, surveillance systems, bootleg sportswear, anime, shoplifting warnings and everything most designers would consider too cheap, obvious or ridiculous to touch.
What makes it work is the commitment. The joke never remains a screenshot. These references are rebuilt as actual shoes, jerseys, polos and cut-and-sew garments. A messaging app becomes a club crest. A shoplifting warning becomes a team identity. Forgotten gaming graphics are handled with the same confidence fashion usually reserves for heritage logos.
That is what separates Haunted Starbucks from disposable meme merch. It does not simply print internet culture onto clothing. It understands how the internet looks, how quickly it mutates and why the worst image is often the one you remember.
Haunted Starbucks never tries to make the internet tasteful. It preserves the confusion, humour and chaos.
Here, brainrot becomes a design language.
