Your next favorite job might just be behind the bar. ☕️

Mojo Coffee House is hiring! We’re looking for friendly, passionate people who know that great coffee is only half the experience.

Come make some magic with us. ✨ Email your resume to [email protected] ✨

This coffee is delightfully sweet and complex, with stonefruit acidity and silky base notes of semi-sweet chocolate chips. As the cup cools, the acidity brightens and floral, tea-like flavors come to the forefront.

NDARO’INI is produced by the Ndaro’ini Farmers Cooperative Society. Most of the grower members of the co-op harvest from plots no larger than a single acre, which creates significant challenges finding buyers. By collectivizing, they are able to gain better access to advanced processing equipment and can combine their yields to secure more profitable contracts for their coffees.

Did I mention that I was the @antigravitymag Mojo Coffeehouse artist for September? 🤭
My ad was based off inspiration of the story of Kaldi and the legend of the dancing goats.
The story goes: Kaldi, an Ethiopian goat shepherd, witnessed some of his lost goats munching on bright red berries from a bush. The goats began to prance and dance around after eating them, so Kaldi tried one of the berries himself. He felt that same jolt of energy, thus coffee was born!

In research of this, I learned the coffee plant is really beautiful in a raw state. It’s blooms look similar to jasmine and orange blossoms ❤️

✨ A little taste of the City of Starlight. ✨ Meet us in Velaris (aka Mojo on Freret) for a mocktail worthy of the Night Court.

@culturecon or JobFairCon?? I’ll circle back with the answer.

I read the comments so you didn’t have to, and y’all had a lot to say 😂

Catherine Wieland got on Britain’s welfare rolls in 2021. With a history of emotional trauma, she was too anxious to go outside or carry out simple tasks like washing herself, she told the government.

Soon, she was receiving about £700, or $1,000, a month in disability benefits. And, it turns out, going outside quite a bit.

Using a taxpayer-subsidized program for those with disabilities, Wieland paid a small deposit for free use of a BMW, which she used to regularly visit the hair salon, dine out at restaurants, attend a Brighton pride parade and visit an amusement park. According to court reports in her fraud conviction, she also flew to Cancún, Mexico, where she posted pictures of herself ziplining and riding a quad motorbike.

Wieland’s case is an extreme example of a new reality in the U.K.: Disability payouts are no longer just for those most in need; they have become a financial crutch for a large swath of the population as wages stagnate and prices rise.

It’s blowing up Britain’s welfare bill, hamstringing its politicians and imperiling its long-term financial stability.

Not including healthcare, the country will spend more than £100 billion this year on all types of welfare benefits for the sick and disabled, about a third more than defense spending.

One benefit, created to help those with disabilities be more mobile, allows people to give up part of their welfare cash handout in return for a new car lease every three years. It now accounts for around one in every seven new car sales in the U.K. Among those who got new cars last year: 40 people whose primary medical condition was tennis elbow, 50 with wheat intolerance and 320 with dyslexia, according to government figures.

The scale of the payout has become a scandal. No other western country has seen such a rise in disability claims.

If you’re so smart, why aren’t you rich? I hate that phrase... !

If you’re caught in the dreaded career trap of being the highly competent generalist, I spent a lot of years in that trap myself and in general I think there are a handful of career traps that high achieving people fall into. These were 5 of my personal traps.

Hope it’s helpful, and also shout out to my awesome friend @gabbybernstein whose book The Universe Has Your Back still to this day helps me w the last one :)
