We’d like to take a moment to properly introduce Toby as our Technical Manager - Inspections & Publications.
Toby started his career across the creative and construction industries before finding his way into flooring more than 25 years ago. He began with flooring installation in Victoria and later spent six years with a timber flooring company on the Mornington Peninsula, gaining experience across installation, sales and the day-to-day workings of the industry.
After moving to Queensland, Toby joined ATFA as a Timber Flooring Inspector in 2018 and later became a Peer Reviewer, working with inspectors across Australia. Over that time, he also became increasingly involved in ATFA’s technical writing, publications and industry resources.
Now based in Perth, Toby’s role brings together his practical flooring background, inspection experience and long-standing interest in writing and communication. His experience helps ATFA continue providing members with trusted technical guidance, inspection support and practical industry resources.
If you haven’t met Toby yet, please join us in welcoming him to the role!
