"Really great turnout, beautiful day, lovely location."

A few words from one of our guests at the ATFA Women in Flooring Lunch 2026 at Rippon Lea Estate. Shelly Horton had the room laughing, and a few lucky attendees went home with a book on the day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We'd love to see you at the next one.

A few weeks ago we joined the @_a_t_f_a_ for their annual ladies luncheon, and what a lovely afternoon it was. It was great to spend time with the inspiring women of the timber flooring industry, swap stories and catch up with familiar faces. Thank you to everyone who made it happen. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

We’d like to take a moment to properly introduce Toby as our Technical Manager - Inspections & Publications.

Toby started his career across the creative and construction industries before finding his way into flooring more than 25 years ago. He began with flooring installation in Victoria and later spent six years with a timber flooring company on the Mornington Peninsula, gaining experience across installation, sales and the day-to-day workings of the industry.

After moving to Queensland, Toby joined ATFA as a Timber Flooring Inspector in 2018 and later became a Peer Reviewer, working with inspectors across Australia. Over that time, he also became increasingly involved in ATFA’s technical writing, publications and industry resources.

Now based in Perth, Toby’s role brings together his practical flooring background, inspection experience and long-standing interest in writing and communication. His experience helps ATFA continue providing members with trusted technical guidance, inspection support and practical industry resources.

If you haven’t met Toby yet, please join us in welcoming him to the role! by @_a_t_f_a_

The flooring industry keeps changing, and there’s always something new to learn.

ATFA members have access to workshops, webinars, trade nights and technical training designed around the situations flooring professionals deal with every day.

From assessing a real job site and quoting with confidence to improving technical knowledge around products, finishes and installation, the focus is always on practical skills you can take back to the business.

Keep an eye on the ATFA events calendar for what’s coming up next. by @_a_t_f_a_

Some flooring questions are straightforward. Others need a second opinion from someone who knows the industry.

ATFA members have access to experienced technical support to help troubleshoot issues, understand industry requirements and work through those more difficult jobs with confidence.

Whether it’s a technical question, product issue or something you haven’t come across before, expert support is only a phone call or message away.

Just one of the ways ATFA supports members out in the field. by @_a_t_f_a_

Throw back to our EXPO day last year. What a few days down in Melbourne it was. Stay tuned for what we have planned next. Biggest yet… by @_a_t_f_a_

A special thank you to all our hole sponsors for supporting the ATFA QLD Golf Day. Without your contribution, events like this simply wouldn’t be possible.

As with any event, circumstances can change and occasionally players need to withdraw at short notice. These things happen... and naturally, we don’t believe someone should lose their money simply because their circumstances changed.

As a result, one playing spot has now become available for this Friday’s golf day. First in, best dressed, book online here https://bit.ly/4wOM0vH or give the ATFA team a call! by @_a_t_f_a_
