And so it begins… 50 Reflections

So today I quietly turned 50. No fan fare, no party, no mega trip, no grand gestures… you know, all the things I once thought I would do when I turned half a century. All the things I did when I turned 40. And it was perfect. Truth be told, all of those things would have been performative, they would have been for everyone else, not for me. This year hit so different and I am no longer performing for others… the only person I seek approval from is God. All I wanted today was to be in His presence and He gave me just that🙏🏾❤️

In the past few years, God has pruned, stretched and grown me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. And he isn’t done with me yet! Still a work in progress but He has shown me things for this year of 50 that truly blow my mind🙌🏾. So here I am sitting at His feet, drawing near, waiting well and preparing for what’s to come.

Thank you to the best parents, sister, son, family/friends and church fam a girl could ask for… I am rich beyond measure because of you and I love you all dearly (even when summa y’all work my one last good nerve🤣) #50loaded #yearofJubilee #sheready
