Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) menyatakan operasi tangkap tangan (OTT) terhadap Bupati Klaten Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo terkait dugaan suap. Dalam OTT KPK tersebut, menangkap 20 orang dan menyita barang bukti berupa uang tunai sekitar Rp1 miliar.

"Tim juga mengamankan barang bukti dalam bentuk uang tunai. Masih proses hitung. Hitungan awal sementara sekitar Rp 1 miliar," kata Juru Bicara KPK Budi Prasetyo Kamis (15/10/2026).

KPK mengatakan OTT tersebut terkait dugaan suap yang diterima Hamenang dalam pengadaan barang dan jasa, perizinan, maupun penerimaan lainnya dari organisasi perangkat daerah.

“Perkara ini diduga terkait dengan penerimaan yang dilakukan oleh penyelenggara negara, berkenaan dengan pengadaan barang dan jasa, perizinan, maupun penerimaan lainnya dari OPD,” tambahnya.

Selain itu, KPK menduga Hamenang melakukan suap terhadap pihak di BPK terkait dengan audit.

“Sehingga pihak-pihak yang diamankan dalam peristiwa tertangkap tangan ini, selain bupati selaku penyelenggara negara, juga ASN baik di lingkungan Pemkab Klaten maupun BPK, serta unsur swasta,” ujarnya.

Penangkapan Bupati Klaten ini menjadi OTT KPK ke-23 sepanjang tahun 2026.
