THAT'S IT! P2 IN THE SC CLASS at the @cscsracing TIME ATTACK FINALE in the @fastautoconcepts C6 Z06 🏆
RDP driver @tom.richard.568 had a crazy up and down day, starting off with an insane brake failure where a two-piece rotor SEPERATED at top speed at the end of the main straight (shown in last slide)! It was all he could do to keep himself and the car safe! Luckily he was able to limp it back to the pits without incident.
Massive shoutout to @brmclean95 who gave up a spare set of rotors and luckily lived close enough to the track that we were able to get them pretty quickly! Tom got them back on the car and he was back in business, running 1:16's comfortably the rest of the day until the final attack.
He was on pace for P1 with a low-15 optimal, but unfortunately a car ahead had an issue that held him up and ruined the lap. No excuses, these things happen!
With this finish he takes 2nd overall in the SC CLASS Championship standings. Some bad luck and mechanical issues with the car left some points behind earlier in the season, but he's coming for that top spot next year 💯🔥
