A place to stay in New Zealand in exchange for helping rescued animals. 🐴🇳🇿 Kind Farm, an animal sanctuary in the Cardrona Valley near Wānaka, offers on-site accommodation to volunteers who help care for its animals and maintain the property. The exchange typically involves around four hours of help each morning, five days a week. Tasks can include feeding and grooming horses and donkeys, cleaning shelters, maintaining paddocks, and helping with native planting—leaving afternoons and days off to explore the surrounding region. Stays generally last one to two weeks, with applications handled through HelpX and spaces subject to availability. Fresh air, muddy boots, and a chance to give rescued animals a better life.
