Hot girl summer is officially over. Enter the season of the witch. 🖤🧙‍♀️ A little Victorian drama, a dash of Doctor Zhivago, and just enough black magic to keep things interesting. The Victorians certainly knew how to make an entrance. High necklines, exaggerated sleeves, cinched waists, and yards of sweeping fabric. And let’s not forget, black was practically an art form, thanks in part to Queen Victoria, who made mourning dress a decades-long fashion statement. Fast-forward to the sweeping romance of Doctor Zhivago, with its Russian-inspired fur hats, dramatic coats, and deliciously decadent winter glamour. Add a little modern mischief, and suddenly we’re somewhere between a Victorian drawing room, the Russian Revolution, and a witches’ coven. @ivyrockmore Dress: @cosstores Hat: Vintage Boots: @khaite Carla Top: Vintage @maisonvalentino Skirt: @jcrew Belt: @pritchlondon Boots: @jilsander Hat: @gigiburris #SeasonOfTheWitch #FashionHistory #VictorianFashion #DoctorZhivago #Halloween
This kid reminded me of myself when i first came from Africa, i was about the same age and i got bullied a lot in Newark NJ before my mom decided to move us to philly. i remember being at Broadway jr in North Newark when this kid from i think Grafton project who didnt even attended school used to hang around the school. i remember one day i was getting on the 13 bus to head home when he snucked up and sucker punched the hell out of me and ran away for no reason. i later heard he did it because he heard i had good grades. I remember telling the principal and he would walk me to the bus stop after school each day for my safety. i never told anyone about it and kept it to myself. this was late 80’s and its so sad it’s still happening today. I was the only african at the school so all the kids of all races bullied me on the daily basis. Looking at this kid brought tears to eyes because not only did he look like me at his age he was going thru what i went through. Not sure why he was heading to school at 920am but the only thing i can think of was he went outside and saw those kids and went back home waiting for them to leave. Those kids parents needs to speak asap about this. my condolences to his family, I will start making appearances at high schools to talk to foreign kids and help them on dealing with bullying. May God help us all to help deal with this. Amen
🇩🇰 Postcards from CPH … instead of overthinking what to post I’m going to simply share some snaps from our days. Starting each day with a swim & sauna, we’ve had town days browsing in our favourite shops, followed by numerous coffee stops, a wander around Fredriksberg where I spent all my childhood holidays, and of course an evening in Tivoli. Lots of walking, lots of chat, spending the days as locals. As I’ve said, we’ve no fixed agenda, we’re taking the days as they come 🇩🇰 . #københaven #cph #danmark #hjemidanmark
John Goodman is getting candid about his weight loss journey. The actor recently shared that he had once turned down a nude scene on "The Righteous Gemstones" because he wasn't sure how his body would look on camera after losing 200 lbs. "I thought I was going to have to be naked in it and I said, 'I don't know. My body's too messed up losing all this weight,'" Goodman said on the Nov. 2 episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, explaining that he and the crew eventually found a way to make it work and "got it done." Erling Haaland taking selfies is a genre of its own. Extreme closeups, unexpected angles, and the straightest face imaginable. The camera roll deserves its own highlight reel. A collection of our favorite selfies from @erling.
