Glenmont Job Corps graduates Calvin, Tyrece and Shamal are the latest Job Corps graduates to be hired by Ingalls Shipbuilding. As they begin their careers at Ingalls’ Mississippi shipyard and transition to independence, they’ll get the support they need to succeed from Gulfport Job Corps’ Transition Hub Advanced Training program.
“Each of these young men has worked hard, remained committed to their goals, and demonstrated the determination and professionalism needed to earn this opportunity,” said Glenmont Programs Director Colin Motyl.
Calvin, Tyrece and Shamal are part of the next generation of shipbuilding professionals helping advance the President’s goal to establish America’s maritime dominance.

Out of curiosity if a person who applied to job corps who might have some disadvantages such as disabilities or financial and family hardship could they push for an earlier start date?
