You ever wonder why Oxnard has basically two skyscrapers just sitting next to the 101? 😂
Turns out they weren’t supposed to feel as random as they do today.
One tower dates back to the 1970’s, the bigger one opened in 1987, and Oxnard actually approved another high-rise in the 90’s that never got built.
So we kind of ended up with the beginning of a skyline that never really continued.
What did you call these buildings growing up?

it was part of Bud Smith Empire. Union bank was in one of those high rises i think it looked cool. I watch those buildings being built along with the Esplanades
