John Goodman is getting candid about his weight loss journey. The actor recently shared that he had once turned down a nude scene on "The Righteous Gemstones" because he wasn't sure how his body would look on camera after losing 200 lbs. "I thought I was going to have to be naked in it and I said, 'I don't know. My body's too messed up losing all this weight,'" Goodman said on the Nov. 2 episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, explaining that he and the crew eventually found a way to make it work and "got it done." Some guys spend Saturday nights chasing women. Others spend it preparing for a heavyweight championship fight against an opponent they’ve been training with since puberty. No audience, no sponsors, no championship belt. Just one determined athlete, questionable cardio, and a towel that deserves its own documentary. Somewhere, the Rocky theme song is playing for absolutely the wrong reasons.
