The Open Mic Coffee & Tea

We’ve had some special moments at The Open Mic, and this was a recent one.

We recommended Queens Caribbean Kitchen, a local spot just down the street that we visit often. A woman from Trinidad stopped back in while we were serving a line of customers just to tell us how much she loved the food. Soon everyone in line was asking, “Where’s Queens?”

If you haven’t tried it yet, Queens is open Wednesday through Saturday, 2–7 PM. It’s worth the short walk down Main Street.

Queens will also be part of the Village of Antioch’s Wine Walk this Saturday, September 26, from noon to 4 PM. Tickets are limited, so register soon (https://www.antioch.il.gov/WineWalk) if you’d like to spend the afternoon exploring downtown’s restaurants and shops.
