Born in Tucson, raised by summers in Los Mochis, Sinaloa.
If you stick around my page, you’ll see a lot of local food, AZ events, travel, recipes, and my husband and son’s BMX adventures.
Every summer, we head down to Mexico for massive family reunion pool parties. Between the taquiza and the music, my absolute favorite part is watching my 2-year-old son make the same memories with his tíos and primos that I made growing up.
To keep our culture strong, we are a strictly Spanish-speaking household 🇲🇽 Books, movies, music—all in Spanish so our son is fluent before he starts school.
When I’m not sharing our life here, I’m working as the Communications Assistant at the Florence Project. It’s an incredible nonprofit providing free legal and social services to immigrants and unaccompanied children facing deportation. Getting to share their stories and advocate for them is a dream job.
