Hola familia! It’s time for a little pause. We are taking a much-needed, long break from the Latina Moms page to recharge, reflect, and spend some quality time with our own families offline. But don't worry, we aren't disappearing completely! We’ve been working on something special behind the scenes, and we will be officially launching our brand new calendar this December. Thank you for all the love, support, and the beautiful community you’ve built with us here. We can't wait to share what's next. Make sure your notifications are on, and we will see you in December! ¡Hola chic@s! Es hora de hacer una pequeña pausa. These are the moments we live for! 🤍 “This morning she told me ‘bye mom!’ First time using two words and they actually made sense! She even signed it :)” Celebrating sweet Layla today! Witnessing that leap to intentional two-word phrases—and seeing sign language bridge that communication gap—is pure magic. Combining signs with spoken words is such a massive neurological milestone in early language development. Every child’s timeline is unique, but these beautiful breakthroughs deserve all the confetti. Spent our last day in AZ, visiting our favorite coffee shop/bakery. We stuffed our faces with chai buns, pumpkin bread , and ham and cheese croissants. They have the best baked goods in Tucson. Check their new fall menu. My ☕ recommendations : Cinnamon Piloncillo Hot Latte Capuchino Salted Maple Latte #notsponsored by @latinamomsoftucson
Hola, I’m Jazmin! I’m a Phoenix native with proud Mexican roots, a former dual-language teacher of 8 years, and a SAHM to three amazing kids. Raising bilingual kids who love their culture is everything to me we keep it Spanish-only at home with our books, music, and movies! My favorite moments are always spent with family, especially praying, singing, and eating traditional food during our December Posadas. I’ve also recently started my own balloon decorating business! I’ve been creating setups for family and friends, and I’m so excited to keep growing. Follow along at @globitosbyjaz ❤️🎈 by @latinamomsoftucson
¡Conoce a Aleia, our superstar grappler! 👩🏼‍🫯‍👩🏾🏋🏽‍♀️ She's a total campeona in NAGA tournaments, and guess what? She loves it so much that she trains 7 whole days a week! Aleia has a super special family story—she is half Mexicana and half Korean! This gives her a double dose of strong spirit and big, happy smiles from two amazing cultures. She brings all that corazón and power with her to the mats. Estamos muy orgullosos de Aleia for showing us how to be brave, work hard, and have so much fun. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating awesome kids like her! ¡Felicidades, Aleia! Continúa brillando tal y como eres. Super mami : @dulcecasaco by @latinamomsoftucson
Meet Jacquelyn Fimbres. Rooted in Tucson but with a heart tied to Hermosillo, Sonora, she is a first-generation Mexican American building a beautiful, intentional life on her own terms. When she made the choice to step away from her career to stay home with her daughter, she leaned deeply into the traditions that shaped her. Today, their home is alive with the sounds of Juan Gabriel, Natalia Lafourcade, and afternoon cumbia dance parties. The kitchen smells of simmering pozole and birria as she perfects the recipes of her childhood. For Jacquelyn, raising her daughter entirely in Spanish isn't just about language; it’s about ensuring an unbroken line of communication and love with her grandparents. But her story is also of brilliant entrepreneurship. Out of a desire to chase her dreams while remaining a fully present mother, Bugam was born. As the creator of this mini flower truck, Jacquelyn brings fresh blooms and joy to her community's special events, proving that you can build a thriving business without sacrificing the seasons of life that matter most. At the center of the flowers, the food, and the music is a profound dedication: keeping her culture, traditions, and love for family fiercely alive for the next generation. Born in Tucson, raised by summers in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. If you stick around my page, you’ll see a lot of local food, AZ events, travel, recipes, and my husband and son’s BMX adventures. Every summer, we head down to Mexico for massive family reunion pool parties. Between the taquiza and the music, my absolute favorite part is watching my 2-year-old son make the same memories with his tíos and primos that I made growing up. To keep our culture strong, we are a strictly Spanish-speaking household 🇲🇽 Books, movies, music—all in Spanish so our son is fluent before he starts school. When I’m not sharing our life here, I’m working as the Communications Assistant at the Florence Project. It’s an incredible nonprofit providing free legal and social services to immigrants and unaccompanied children facing deportation. Getting to share their stories and advocate for them is a dream job. Hola! Follow @karem.renzi by @latinamomsoftucson
Alejandra Baltazar-Carlat Born in Querétaro, México immigrated to Tucson almost 23 years ago and have lived here since. I grew up in a different country and language became a very important part of who I am. I studied Spanish at the UofA to make sure I didn’t lose my identity, being able to communicate with my parents and abuelitos, the way I continue to foster my native language is by cooking family traditions Día de los Muertos is one of my favorite family traditions, as it’s a way of me staying connected to my family in Mexico from afar and those that have passed.
