Former Miss Universe Jamaica Dr Gabrielle Henry says moments before her serious and traumatic fall during the Miss Universe 2025 competition, she had simply been following instructions given to her by organisers.

At home, the video of her tumble generated shock and concern for the pageant queen, with Jamaicans offering prayers and well wishes. The fall upended Henry’s life, shattering her dreams of representing Jamaica, she explained.
