Meet Terence and Birdie! Hard launching my two protagonists’ concept art of the show I’m trying to make happen. I’ve been working on finalizing some character designs, and I’m very excited to share them with you. As many of you know, it is my ultimate goal to make my own indie animated show. It’s been my dream for as long as I can remember. The pilot is already loosely written, it just needs some revision and extra love. Birdie is stand-off-ish, pretty elusive, and has trust issues. She is the only character in the show with animalistic traits, and that will be explained more in the future. While she’s not a fan of people, she forms a frenemy relationship with the main male protagonist, Terence, who admittedly just wants to get to know her better. Their odd, chaotic relationship is going to be my favorite part to write more of. Their constant bickering and one sided beef will be extremely entertaining. As her character develops, she gets more comfortable around others, and her true colors start to blossom. Terence is an ornithologist, who takes his job very seriously. While he works alone doing fieldwork, he makes sure to wear bright colors when he’s working to “impress the birds”. He’s very nerdy, very curious, and very interested when he happens to stumble upon a feathery woman by chance. He wants to get to know her so bad. He’s smart and clever in many fields, but human interactions are not one of them. He cannot talk to people to save his life. He’s basically made up of everything I love to see in a man, and is a walking green flag. Anyways, I hope you love them. It’s a big step for me to finally share these characters with you, and there will be more art to come of them in the future as I continue writing and figuring things out. I’ve had these characters in my head since I was like… 10 years old… so this is so surreal for me. Thank you!!
