The gospel choir was one of the very first decisions I made about our wedding. In fact, I brought it up on our very first call with @tylerspeier. Tyler recommended @elanartists. He told me they were the best, but HOLY CUSS WORDS… they were beyond. When I explained the idea to Eddie, he thought I was a little nuts. Per usual. (But also per usual, he trusted my vision.) And the result was the stuff of fairy tales. I had talked about it so many times. I had picked out the songs. I had imagined what it would be like. And then, there I was, standing inside a dream I had carried in my heart for years. The choir ushered me down the aisle, sang a blessing over our family, and welcomed our guests into the glass tent for the celebration that followed. They sang five of our favorite songs in total. And each time, I was in awe. They were… transcendent. They helped me turn my ceremony into a spiritual experience. The choir didn’t just sing. They helped us create an atmosphere that truly blessed every person in the room. So many people told me they felt the presence of God. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. AND THEN… my man. For all the things I had planned, envisioned, and helped orchestrate, the most beautiful part of the ceremony was the words my husband chose to say to me. He told me I was safe. That he had me. And then, because he truly loves me, he even worked in a Gilmore Girls reference. lol It was… perfect. I’ve spent years teaching women to believe in the extraordinary. To expect more. To make room for miracles. And there I was standing in one of the middle of my own beautiful manifestation. This or something better, indeed. ♥️ Venue: @grimmsbluff Planning, Florals & Design: @tylerspeier Videographer: @ashleyandjayfilms Music, Choir & Strings: @elanartists Hair: @jeffvhair Makeup: @christinaleeadams
The First Book Club Fight Club A foundation formed by Ancient Greeks whose names and words echo to this day. Gymnasia before Philosophia was a conceptual framework for movement and training prior to contemplation and conversation We mirrored this format with movement practice, grappling, and sparring before discussion of a book we read - The War of Art by @steven_pressfield . Resistance is an invisible, universal, and internal force we all face that holds us back and keeps us small when we aspire to creativity, ambition, and growth of all forms We discussed Resistance we each face, and how we plan to overcome it. Wrote it down and shared with the group. Tore out the piece of paper and brought it home to remind us Easy to procrastinate Resistance Resistance loves procrastination For example, I wanted to host the book club fight club for a long time, finally overcame resistance to make it happen. Glad I did. Great time Thank you @sportdrinkco for electrolytes, hydration, and energy Grateful for the opportunity to gather with powerful brethren and engage in this experience together. Will be hosting another one here in Los Angeles in around a month or so. Godspeed —Case ⚡️
