A lot of men seem weirdly drawn to sticks because they invite imaginative play and tool use. A decent stick can instantly become a sword, spear, walking staff, rifle, fishing rod, pointer, or โ€œperfect stickโ€ that simply feels satisfying to carry. Humans are naturally attracted to objects we can manipulate, and boys are often encouraged more strongly toward rough-and-tumble play, pretend weapons, outdoor exploration, and collecting interesting objects. There is also probably some evolutionary flavor to it, since sticks were among humanityโ€™s earliest useful tools for digging, hunting, reaching, and defending. But the modern version is mostly cultural and playful. A man can be 37, own a mortgage, and still find a suspiciously straight branch in the woods and think, โ€œYes. This is an excellent sword.โ€ Like this content? Follow us for more @dadsaysjokes โค๏ธ
