👉Sometimes God doesn't give us our old years back, He gives us redeemed meaning for them. What wounded me doesn't have to waste me. Jesus can restore the soul, redeem the years, and transform broken pieces into building material for someone else's hope. I don't need to know the whole blueprint. I just need to trust the Builder.
🌿📖Psalm 23:3 NIV
"He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake."
📌Context: David presents God as the Shepherd who cares for His sheep personally, providing, restoring, guiding, and leading them in righteous paths.
💭Insight: Restoration isn't merely God giving us things. He restores us. He reaches the places inside us that exhaustion, disappointment, sin, grief, and wandering have worn thin.
🌿📖Joel 2:25 NIV
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten, the great locust, and the young locust, the other her locust and the locust swarm my great army that I sent among you."
📌Context: God's people had experienced devastating loss. Joel speaks of God's call to return to Him and His promise of restoration following a season of judgment and destruction.
💭Insight: God does not erase history; He can redeem what happened within it. Lost years don't have to become meaningless years.
🌺Personal reflection: Some things were genuinely lost. I don't have to pretend otherwise. But I've learned that the enemy can eat a chapter without being allowed to write the ending. What looked like wasted years can become wisdom, testimony, compassion, and Kingdom building. The locusts had their lunch. 😂🌾 They just don't get the final word.
🌿📖Zechariah 9:12 NIV
“Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you."
📌Context: God's people were living amid difficulty and uncertainty, yet God called them back to Himself and pointed them toward His promise of restoration.
💭Insight: Hope isn't pretending everything is fine. Hope is knowing Who holds us when everything isn't fine.
🌺Personal reflection: I've become a prisoner of hope, not because life has always been gentle, but because Jesus has proven Himself faithful
